The Wslc lumber had a 12’ steel loading car. The purpose of the car was to load heavy equipment onto the flat cars at the end of the train. It was done by moving the “arms” down and the D-2 caterpillar just drove up onto the flat over the loading car. As far as I know, the car was built by the shops at the Wslc. It was made from steel I beams flat stock for the frame and u channels and whatever they had on hand. For Ede’s other models, click on the links at the top of the page.
